Open studio workshops from my garden studio
During the Open Studio week I will be running 3 workshops. As I have limited space each workshop will need pre booking please. £15 payable by cash or card on the day.
Monday 31st August 10.30 - 12.30 Gelli plate session using botanicals. An opportunity for some gelli plate printing. There is a lovely array of different leaves in the garden for creating beautiful prints. I will have a variety of papers/acrylics/rollers and some gelli plates available. If you are already an addict(!) and have equipment - bring it along. If you would just like to have a go and see what its about, let me know in advance and I will supply what you need.
Wednesday 2nd September 10.30 - 12.30 Watercolour pond studies in the garden . . . There is a beautiful pond with a variety of aquatic plants and shoals of colourful fish. Lots of inspiration for a watercolour painting or sketchbook studies. I will have plenty of seats dotted about in the garden - bring a sunhat and your usual watercolour kit. Let me know in advance if you would like to borrow watercolour equipment.
Friday 4th September 10.30 - 12.30 Sketchbook journalling/blue-tack prints in and around the garden. . .A lovely opportunity to work in your sketchbook or journal in whatever media you prefer. There is a wealth of inspiration in the garden. Why not have a go at blue-tack printing using the many different natural surfaces around the pond and garden. Blue-tack and ink provided!
Weekly Watercolour Classes

A supportive and friendly group, lead by Shari, where we tackle a different subject each week.

I am providing short YouTube watercolour demonstrations for a suggested contribution of £5.00 per subject. This allows people to watch and have a go at a time that suits them. Email me (above) if you would like to to receive a list of available subjects and a video link.

Dusk & Dawn - Crepuscular Creatures 11th September 2026 £65

Come and create an enchanting and ethereal woodland scene. We will explore a variety of watercolour techniques to create a dusky, atmospheric scene with gnarly trees, moonlight and an opportunity to include a fox or badger.
We will experiment with wet into wet watercolour, salt crystals, iridescent medium and the use of compostable caddy bags to create pattern.
This workshop is suitable for all levels of experience – whether you are new to watercolour or have more experience. All are most welcome.
